The Brownsville Public Health Department invites the public to attend Charro Days Food Stand Workshops on Wednesday, February 6, and Thursday, February 7, 2019, at City Plaza, 1034 E. Levee Street in Brownsville, Texas.
The Food Stand Workshops will include presentations by City Departments on:
- Food vendor, regulations and permitting process.
- Temporary light fixture permitting process.
- Fire code regulations for outdoor cooking.
- Sales Tax Permit requirements by the Texas State Comptroller.
The first workshop on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, will be held in Spanish. The second workshop on Thursday, February 7, 2019, will be held in English.
“We want everyone to have a safe and delicious Charro Days celebration,” said Brownsville Public Health Department Director Chris Haggstrom. “Whether you are a first time vendor or a seasoned food stand owner, on behalf of the Public Health Department we invite the community to attend these workshops to learn more about the permitting process and how they can reach their business goals.”
