Acceptance Test

  • Acceptance tests are to be scheduled and paid for no sooner than 24 hrs in advance.
  • Tests to be done during inspection hours. Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-11 a.m. or 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
  • If applicable, approved plans must be on site
  • Person conducting test must be a licensed commercial cooking suppression systems technician.
  • Company vehicle(s) must be onsite and clearly labeled.
  • If applicable, "As Builts" must be provided for any deviations to initial approved plans
  • Manual pull station must activate system (test mode) and be free of any obstructions
  • Link must automatically activate system (test mode) and be free of any grease build up, damage, and must be of correct temperature setting
  • All piping must be clear of obstructions
  • If applicable, activation of the system must activate the fire alarm notification system. 
  • Approved separation between appliances
  • Openings must be sealed with approved material
  • Return air must shut down on activation of system
  • Exhaust grease laden vapors
  • Grease filters and hood/duct system over cooking equipment must be clean
